A former collegiate and professional football player, Charles was inducted into the St. Francis
High School Hall of Fame in 2023 (football). His athletic career includes California State Championship (HS basketball), top 10 finish as AAU Junior Olympic point guard (basketball) collegiate
All-American (football), collegiate All- conference honors (football), Italian Super Bowl champion (football), and Euro-Bowl champion honors (football).
